A newly established Park is part of what is known as Selous Game Reserve. Founded in 2019 and covers over 30,000 square kilometres, now the largest National Park in Africa.

The park boasts Tanzania’s largest elephant population and a large number of lions, leopards, African hunting dogs, buffaloes, and hippos. Species commonly seen are bushbucks, red and blue duikers, elands, hartebeests, hyenas, giraffes, oryx, reedbucks, impalas, waterbucks and zebras.

Itineries( 5 days )

  • Day 1

    DAR ES SALAAM/ZANZIBAR-SELOUS

    You will start your safari in Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam Airport whereby you have to arrive 60 minutes before your departure time 0800hrs. On Arrival in Selous Game Reserve Mtemere Airstrip at 0915hrs or 0945hrs, you will be met by the driver guide who will transfer you to the camp or lodge for check-in. At around 16h00 in the evening, depart for an adventurous and romantic sunset boat safari along the great Rufiji river to spotting hippos, crocodiles and birds, and enjoying the spectacular sundown.

  • Day 2

    SELOUS GAME RESERVE

    After early breakfast, depart for a full day game drive in the Selous Game Reserve, exploring the game in the surrounding areas. Animals, including elephants, giraffes, lions, buffalos, zebras and even the rare African wild dogs, are common. Picnic lunch in the mid-day, later on, return to the camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 3

    SELOUS/NYERERE-RUAHA NP

    Early morning bushwalking Safari, then breakfasts followed by transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled departure to Ruaha NP. After arriving at Msembe airstrip, your driver-guide will pick you for a half-day game drive in Ruaha National Park

  • Day 4

    RUAHA NATIONAL PARK

    After morning breakfast, game driving, and picnic lunch, Ruaha is the largest park and the second-largest elephant sanctuary in Tanzania. The great Ruaha River that flows along its entire eastern border creates spectacular gorges and scenery and features many hippos and crocodiles. The wide variety of animals that inhabit the park includes greater and lesser kudus, cheetahs, lions, roan and sable antelopes.

  • Day 5

    RUAHA-DAR ES SALAAM/ZANZIBAR

    After morning breakfast, en-route game drive to the airstrip for your scheduled departure to Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar
